Karate!

The girls had a great time earning their strong and courageous petals today. Thanks to Mrs. E for teaching us a fun way to keep our bodies strong! Thanks to Olivia F. for being such a great hostess! Our hostess at our Feb. 5 meeting will be Natalie.

Important Updates

I have so much to share from our leader's meeting this week. There are many upcoming events! I also want to welcome Ali Parish to our troop! Please be sure to check the school Wednesday Newsletter for the registration form for the Father-Daughter dance on Friday, Jan. 31. It is from 6-8:30 and is a pajama party theme. It should be a great deal of fun for the girls and dads! Also, you should have received a Sign-Up Genius email for Girl Scout Sunday. We are responsible for bringing main dishes to the potluck after the 12:15 Mass. Here is the link to the sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090A4BAAAA2CA75-girl Our girls will be participating in the annual Girl Scout Mardi Gras parade at 1:00 on Tuesday, March 4. The parade is for the whole school. We will need each Daisy to donate a bag of candy (peanut free). We are also looking for donations of Mardi Gras beads. If you have any extra lying around, you can start sending them to me now. I hope cookie sales are going well! Please remember that all orders are due next Friday. Our meeting this Wednesday will begin in the Girl Scout room. The girls should bring PE type clothes to change into as we will walk over the new gym for our karate class with Miss E. You can pick the girls up at 4:10 in the new gym. Olivia will be our hostess for the meeting. The girls will receive the Courageous and Strong petals (red) at the end of class.

Cookie Meeting

We had another fun meeting!  The girls were excited about learning the process of cookies sales.  They had a great time using cell phones to practice making telephone calls to sell to relatives.  They each made a cookie necklace to help remember the cookie types and write their own personal goal for selling.  We discussed using our best manners when selling and also the importance of explaining that the money we earn will be used to help the troop and for our St. Jude service project.

Please remember that all orders are due by Friday, Jan. 24.

Thank you to Mrs. Pritchett and Mrs. Lawler for helping at the meeting.  Annesley was a wonderful hostess!  A special thank you to Mrs. Leonard and Mrs. French for being awesome Cookie Managers!

Olivia will be our hostess at our Jan. 22 meeting.  This meeting will go until 4:15.  We will meet in the Girl Scout room first, and then go to the new gym for a karate lesson with Mrs. E to earn our strong and courageous petal. The girls should bring PE type clothes to wear.   You can pick the girls up in the new gym.
